Description:In BC, hundreds of installations use water and wastewater pumps in batch mode. At 'Lead pump start', the pump comes on and pumps at full throttle until lead pump stops. This cycle is repeated thousands of times per day in our province. Yet, there may be a more efficient way. More and more installations are using VFDs as starters to alleviate hydraulic surges.
