Thinking Like a Watershed-Towards Ecological Governance in British Columbia

Description:In British Columbia the Water Act is over 100 years old and no longer able to deal with existing and emerging water issues. To ensure a prosperous future, the B.C. government has committed to modernizing the Water Act and building capacity for water conservation, stewardship, and security by investing in effective governance, institutions, and models for management. The presentation will specifically address the ongoing, government-lead Water Act modernization process and emphasize the need to build institutional and ecosystem resilience for a more prosperous water future.
