"Our water sector can be quite exciting, and we are only limited by our imagination. That the industry is so broad...should not stop us from bringing new perspectives and new ideas of what can be accomplished" - Timothy Phelan, AWWA Director
The staff at BC Water and Waste Association wish you a fun and stress-free long weekend! It has been exciting past few months for BCWWA - winners of our 2019 Student Design Competition won first place at WEFTEC2019 conference for the second year in a row and the winners of BCWWA’s Operator Challenge, the Wet Well Warriors from Metro Vancouver, took home a special spirit award for being the competition’s “Most Friendly Team.
WEFTEC 2019 was another memorable and exciting one for us at BCWWA, as we had UBC's team DTE, winners of our Student Design Competition both this year and last, representing us for the second year in a row at WEFTEC’s Student Design Competition. We’re thrilled to announce that they won first place at WEFTEC once more! Well done!
Team DTE — the winners of BCWWA’s 2018 and 2019 Student Design Competition — are Chicago-bound for the upcoming WEFTEC Student Design Competition on September 22, 2019.
