UBC Researchers search the province for data on municipal water use

Researchers at the University of British Columbia are currently undertaking a major survey on municipal water use in British Columbia.

The BC Municipal Water Survey 2015 is being led by researchers at the Water Planning Lab of the School of Community and Regional Planning. The goal is to provide a comprehensive picture of how water is used and priced throughout the province. To obtain this data, the research team is reaching out to local experts who know and understand their municipal water system.

The researchers are looking for the water specialists in each municipality – utilities engineers, managers, technologists, and/or coordinators. If you, or one of your colleagues, is knowledgeable about water usage in your community, and would like to contribute to UBC’s research project, please contact the Water Planning Lab at This email address is being protected from spambots.
