In March 2012, the Ministry of Environment facilitated conversations with the water science community about how they can work together to increase access to water data and information to support sustainable water use and management in BC. National Research Agenda: Identifying and Prioritizing Municipal Wastewater and Biosolids Research Needs

Formation of a Canadian Science and Research Coordination Body (SRCB) was recommended by the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) in response to the development of the Canada-wide Strategy for the Management of Municipal Wastewater Effluent and the Canada-wide Approach for the Management of Wastewater Biosolids, Sludge and Treated Septage. The objective of the SRCB is to coordinate, on a national scale, research on wastewater and biosolids in Canada.
