A Message from David Main, BCWWA’s President

Under the leadership of our CEO, Tanja McQueen, the BC Water & Waste Association has undertaken significant change over the past several years, making investments in new programs such as public awareness and government advocacy, new services including member news and information, and enhancements to existing programs for education and professional development. These changes have positioned the Association for a bright future as the leading organization for water and wastewater professionals in BC and the Yukon.

Tanja is now planning a more personal change. Several months ago, Tanja approached the Board to discuss her plans to retire in June of this year. The Board is currently reviewing candidates for her replacement, and we hope to make an announcement later this spring. Tanja will remain involved with the organization to ensure a smooth transition.

On behalf of the BCWWA Board, staff and members, I would like to thank Tanja for her service to the organization and extend our best wishes for a healthy and happy retirement!

David Main, BCWWA President
