The BCWWA is governed by a Board of Directors, elected by members and comprised of eight Directors and three ex-officio representatives from our affiliated organizations (AWWA, CWWA and WEF).
The role of the Board is to provide strategic direction for the BCWWA, based on input from members and other important stakeholders in the water sector. The Board oversees management of the Association by monitoring compliance with written policies that describe the organization’s ends (goals), governance, executive limitations, and the Board-CEO relationship. The work of the Association is supported by BCWWA staff.
An election is held each year to fill vacant positions on the BCWWA Board of Directors. This year, two Director positions are up for election. Directors are elected for a three-year term.
Nominations for candidates to fill these two roles are now open, closing February 15, 2019.
