Utility Maintenance Supervisor

As a Certified Plumber you will provide plumbing maintenance, repair, alteration and installation services throughout the municipality under the direction of the Supervisor, Water Pumphouse & Trades. No stranger to exercising considerable independent judgment, you have excellent time management and problem solving abilities along with a demonstrated commitment to customer service.

As a skilled tradesperson, you possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid Inter-Provincial Plumbing Qualification or your BC TQ.
  • Over four years’ experience as a journeyperson plumber in water distribution and wastewater disposal for commercial or industrial buildings.
  • Relevant experience with building codes, legislation, regulations, and policies and procedures related to installations and maintenance work.
  • The ability to read sketches, blueprints and diagrams.
  • A valid full privilege class 5 driver’s license.
  • Certification in backflow device testing, gas fitting and Class 4 power engineering are considered assets.

As a condition of employment the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a clear Police Information Check for offences related to the position.
This regular, full-time position offers an hourly wage of $37.45 and an excellent benefits and pension package.
