Regional District of Central Kootenay Commissions South Slocan Water Treatment Plant

Description:South Slocan is a small community west of Nelson, BC, with about 50 service connections. Like many small communities in British Columbia served by their own community water systems, the village of South Slocan always depended on surface water piped from the inlet to the tap without any treatment. Community members were confident that they received 'good, clear' water that dod not require treatment.
