This year's conference is going to be outstanding! Not
only is Penticton a fantastic location for our event, but
the technical sessions are going to be unique and extremely
interesting. Your Conference Committee has developed a phenomenal
program that you shouldn't miss, so see you there!

C'mon over to Penticton and experience our Interior brand

a major conference such as that of BC. Water & Waste.
Association The Penticton Convention Center is the second
largest in the province with a spacious exhibition hall, adjoining
rooms to accommodate all of the Technical sessions and operator
education programs. And there are six Conference hotels, all
within 5 minutes of the Convention Center, at reasonable rates.
Book early so that you will not be disappointed.
Getting to Penticton is effortless with regular air service
to Penticton and the Kelowna Airport, just 50 minutes away
as an option. If you are driving, Penticton is only 4 ½
hours from t he lower Mainland through some of British Columbia's
most dramatic and spectacular scenery using either the Coquihalla
Highway or Highway 97 (Hope / Princeton).
And Penticton is in "Wine Country" with over 40
wineries in the Southern Okanagan. Consequently, we have invited
Harry McWalters, former Chairman of the B.C.Wine Institute
and founder of Sumac Ridge Estate Winery to be our VIP guest
speaker at the Opening Ceremonies of the Annual Conference.
He will speak about the increasing of prominence of BC wines
and the importance that water and irrigation play in contributing
to that success. So make your plans to attend the Monday Opening
Session at 9:00 am.
