Sewer Utility Person

 

 

Bring your knowledge of sewers to assist our team! In this role you will carry out maintenance, repairs and construction of City sewers infrastructure.

 

The successful candidate will be required to perform a broad range of duties related to the safe and efficient daily operations, installation and maintenance of manholes, catch basins, inspection chambers, storm intakes and outfalls, pumping facilities and mains and services. You will have thorough knowledge of the methods, practices, materials, tools and equipment used.  Post-secondary education courses in sewers at a recognized college, trades school, BCWWA or similar organization along with a minimum of one year experience in sewers will prepare you for this position.

 

A EOCP Sewers Collection Level 1 certification, valid BC Driver’s License (Class 3 with air) and the physical capabilities of performing the duties of the job are required.

 

The rate of pay for this union position ranges from $20.52 to $24.14.  In addition, the City of Abbotsford offers a comprehensive benefits package.
