The Regional District of Central Okanagan has an opening for an
ASSISTANT TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR
The Assistant Treatment Plant Operator is accountable for assisting in the daily maintenance and operation of the Westbank Wastewater Treatment Plant and related infrastructure, such as lift stations and collection mains, in compliance with specified standards and/or operating certificates.
The ideal applicant will have completed the Level 1 BC Certification exam provided by the BC Water and Waste Association. General knowledge of pumps, motors, hydraulic and related equipment, as well as experience in chlorine and other gases is required. The ability to work independently with good mechanical aptitude for diagnosing and rectifying equipment problems is essential. Must hold a valid BC drivers licence.
