NRSC located in SE Alberta is inviting applications for the position of General Manager (GM). The GM will be responsible to the NRSC Board of Directors for the full operations of the Corporation. NRSC is a newly established Municipal Services Corporation in Alberta representing 6 municipalities. NRSC initially will be responsible for potable water and sanitary sewer services of the participating member municipalities.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to set up and establish the operating and capital structures that he or she will be ultimately in charge of. This will allow that person to work closely with the Board for the organizational & technical structures prior to the Corporation being staffed.
The current capital construction is estimated to be at $50 million for 2 of 4 phases of the regional water project. When fully completed it will take 9 individual water treatment plants and turn them into one regional treatment plant supplemented by satellite holding & distribution facilities. Construction will begin construction in the fall of 2008 with completion expected by 2010. It is the goal of the Board of Directors to have the GM in place by September 2008.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction and operating municipal Water and Sewer Systems. Candidates that have a University Degree supplemented with a minimum Alberta Environment Water Distribution III & Wastewater Collection III will be preferred.
