
Operator Education Projects Coordinator
The British Columbia Water & Waste Association (BCWWA) promotes the safeguarding of public health and the environment through the sharing of skills, knowledge and experience in the water and wastewater industry.
BCWWA provides training and education to water, wastewater and small water systems operators throughout British Columbia, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.
We are currently looking for an Operator Education Projects Coordinator.
Working directly with the Director of Operations, this person will be responsible for initiating and coordinating projects that will lead to improved operational efficiencies in our operator education program. We are looking for someone who is a creative problem solver, hard working and not afraid to take some risks by “thinking outside the box”.
Job duties:

Organizing an annual Train-the-Trainer session for current and potential instructors

Preparing data and analyzing the operator education activities leading to recommendations for future improvements of how these are organized and run

Coordinating the development of new courses by instructors and other contractors

Preparing detailed proposals for Government Contracts

Assisting Training and Education Coordinator with identifying venues and locations for training as well as other duties as required

Assisting with delivery of Operator Education and other organizational programs as required.
Job requirements and minimum qualifications:

Completion of university or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience

Computer skills, including a excellent understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access

Well-developed administrative and organizational skills
-
High standard of customer service and telephone etiquette

Interpersonal skills and experience dealing with outside consultants, contractors and the public
-
Ability to manage to a busy schedule of deadlines
-
Ability to work as part of a team
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours required: 37.5 hours per week (permanent, full-time position)
Salary: $15 per hour
