Selected key responsibilities:
Water Treatment Plant Operators are responsible for the day to day operation and control of the City's Level IV Water Treatment Plant and Level IV Distribution System. Key accountabilities are to perform work functions that ensure compliance to established policies and procedures, OH&S, and the AENV Approval to Operate. The Water Treatment Plant operators provide for the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and treatment processes, and for the reliable production and supply of high quality water for all residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
Our ideal candidate for this role has:
- Grade 12
- Unrestricted Water Treatment Level 1 Alberta Environment Operator’s Certification or equivalent with a requirement to achieve Level II within 4 years
- 4 years in a Level III or IV Provincial Water Treatment operation or equivalent. To maintain certification, they are required to achieve 3.6 CEU each 3 years.
