Victor Deane

Victor achieved a degree in Pure and applied Science and Economics in his native Montreal before building a career in various disciplines, from environmental remediation in northern Alberta to CANDU design to accounting and finances. Victor joined the Capital Regional District in Victoria in 1993 and has successfully established computer networks, selected, installed and commissioned software and hardware, created rate models, managed accounting, billing and budgeting software and procedures, performed water sampling and operated water distribution and treatment plants. He currently holds an EOCP WD level four certification and manages Disinfection and Operations for the Greater Victoria area. He has been instrumental in the conversion from gas to hypochlorite as a disinfectant and the operation of the Ultraviolet treatment process.
