Introduction
Mission Statement
The Yukon Branch of the BCWWA is committed to the safeguarding of public health, safety and the environment through the advancement of skills and knowledge in the operation, maintenance, design and construction of water, wastewater and solid waste works in Yukon.
Objectives
- To act as a clearinghouse for technical and operational water, wastewater and solid waste information in Yukon.
- To promote and/or provide continuing education training opportunities and professional development, including facilitating and promoting mandatory certification and continuing education requirements for water, wastewater and solid waste operators in Yukon and Northern BC.
- To organize and host technical conferences and trade shows.
- To co-operate and liaise with Federal, Territorial, First Nation and Municipal agencies to discuss Yukon water, wastewater and solid waste issues.

The Yukon Water and Waste Association (YWWA) is pleased to announce The 2010 Operators Forum and Annual General Meeting. The Forum will take place in Whitehorse at the Best Western Gold Rush Inn & Conference Centre on March 31st and April 1st, 2010.

Call for Nominations for
Board of Directors of YWWA
Please be advised that the Yukon Water and Waste Association (YWWA) is seeking Nominations for Directors in accordance with its constitution and bylaws. Elections will be held at the Annual General Meeting on April 1, 2010 at the Best Western Gold Rush Inn & Conference Centre from 12:00 to 1:30 pm.
YWWA was incorporated as a non-profit society in Yukon in February 2005. Prior to incorporation, the YWWA entity was a chapter of BCWWA and still has a strong affiliation with BCWWA. The YWWA bylaws define membership in YWWA as any member of BCWWA residing in the Yukon.
Nominations are being sought for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer on the YWWA Board of Directors. Please submit your nominations or your expressed interest to volunteer for a position by Friday, March 19th, 2010, to David Albisser, YWWA Past President (by email:
