Message from the BCWWA 2010 Conference Technical Committee

This year, the annual conference theme is "Reaching New Heights", appropriately following the finale of the Olympic Winter Games. The Conference Technical Committee has re-shaped itself in 2010. After over seven years of leadership of the Technical Committee, Tim Forty has passed the torch to some new faces. Tim has set high standards for the conference technical program in the past and we are committed to continuing to achieve this goal in the future. As your 2010 Conference Technical Committee, we are very excited to be a part of the conference in this capacity.

Thank you to all for submitting your abstracts. We are putting the final touches on this year’s Conference Technical Program. Sessions will cover a range of topics showcasing the depth of experience and knowledge in the province and beyond. This year’s abstract submissions included increased focus on energy and resource recovery, climate change, and sustainability in practical context for the water and wastewater industry. The 2010 Conference Technical Program promises to exceed new heights. Speakers selected for the conference will be notified of their abstract acceptance by mid-February. Enjoy the Olympics and we look forward to seeing you in Whistler.
