Travel to Nk'Mip Resort

Approximately 1 hour south of Penticton, the scenic drive will take you along Skaha Lake to Okanagan Falls then to Oliver through the many orchards and vineyards to Osoyoos.

Nk'Mip Cellars Wine Tour & Tastings

Learn how Nk’Mip Cellars produces their award winning wines.  The tour will take you through their state-of-the-art Red and White Fermentation Rooms and their famous Oak Barrel Grotto. Experience the unique architecture while enjoying the beauty of the natural desert surroundings.

Lunch Inspired by Aboriginal Cuisine

Lunch will include a common staple in North America’s first peoples’ diet – “bannock”.  There were regional variations of bannock but it mainly consists of corn, nut meal and flour made from ground plant bulbs.  Traditional methods of cooking bannock called for pit cooking, baking in clay or rock ovens or toasting over an open fire, but bannock today is most often deep-fried, pan-fried and oven- baked.

Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre

This spectacular interpretive centre is constructed into a hillside and offers an opportunity for people to learn about Canada’s only pocket desert and the culture of the Okanagan People. 

As part of the tour, our guide will take us on a desert cultural walk.  Be sure to wear walking shoes and dress for the weather.

Start the second day of the Partners Program with a delicious breakfast.

Chartered Cruise on the Casabella Princess

(Max 43 people; weather permitting)

Sit back, relax and enjoy breathtaking views of Penticton’s natural beauty and signature landmarks on a unique paddlewheeler cruise.

Remember to dress for the weather!

Take a break and re-energize with a scrumptious lunch while sharing your Penticton experience with great company.

Choose from one of the following activities:
 

OPTION 1: Tour and Gardening Class at Linden Gardens

(Max 25 people)

Located in nearby Kaleden, Linden Gardens is an enchanting perennial garden inspired by English country and coastal gardens. 

A guided tour through the garden will be followed by a class on gardening basics such as irrigation, structural design, sequence of planting and maintenance.

 

OPTION 2: Jewellery Making Class at Beadz

(Max 8 people)

During this introductory class, you will learn to work with tiger tail cables, elastics, crimp beads, clasps and head pins. Basic supplies and tools will be provided.

Partners will be able to make and take home either a basic necklace and bracelet or a necklace and earrings.

 

OPTION 3: Gift Making Class at the Lakeside Resort

(Max 20 people)

Join our experienced and enthusiastic instructor as she demonstrates unique craft projects. You will have the opportunity to make and take home one or two special projects of your own.

Supplies and tools will be provided.

Gala Banquet & Dance

Rejoin your partner for BCWWA's Annual Gala event. Eat, drink and dance the night away to live entertainment!
